The private equity investor was seeking to improve one of its portfolio businesses and needed to make a decision about whether to provide further financing.

The portfolio business was contending a multi-faceted storm with sales impacted by several external challenges including digital disrupters, a stagnant market with declining consumer confidence post the EU referendum and a slowdown of the housing market

Our impact

We carried out an in-depth review of the business challenges and worked with the leadership team to help create an updated business plan. We also finalised a strategic review and, through a series of meetings with the investors, collaborated to set out the new way forward.
